Many of my professional strengths lie in my personality and my own personal struggles and triumphs in life. Because so much of what I believe in, my values, and the things that make me who I am are reflected in my work, I want to share a little bit about myself with you.
The journey to where I am today hasn’t been easy. I’ve had to work very hard to reach this happy place in my life, and I’m proud to say that the ups and downs have made me a stronger, wiser and more fulfilled individual.
I have always believed I was put on this Earth to help people and to have a positive influence on their lives in some way. Even as a child, my prayers were always of an altruistic nature. At the age of six, my world came crashing down when my parents divorced and as the years went by my relationship with my siblings deteriorated. My siblings and I never saw eye to eye on most things; they never understood me and my different (to them) way of looking at the world, or my desire to help others. Needless to say, all of this made for a not very happy or fulfilled family life for me growing up.
My troubles at home resulted in a confusing transition into my adult life. I spent most of my life pretending to be somebody I wasn’t because I was too afraid of being myself. I lived many years in torment believing that nobody would ever understand me and I kept the real me to myself a lot because I was terrified of being hurt, again. Which, now looking back, was the exact opposite of what I should have done. Marrying young taught me many lifelong lessons. My two marriages both ended in divorces after a couple of years each, and then when I made it to my thirties I started raising two absolutely fantastic boys, as a single mother.
I took my search for self-fulfillment online after I couldn’t find any other suitable alternative. I was surprised by all the options available to me and was immediately drawn to self-improvement related subjects, even though at the time I had no idea what being a Life Coach or a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner entailed.
After many years of trial and error trying different online programs and marketing this or that, without much success, one day I found out about Life Coaching and after reading more about it, I couldn’t contain my excitement – I instantly knew that this was my calling as it was what I had already been doing intuitively with people my entire life! When I subsequently found out about Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), I knew that this and Life Coaching was the perfect blend for me in what I wanted to do to help people.
My research and training into self-actualization and personal development immensely improved my confidence. I was finally able to discover my true self and to feel proud about sharing who I was with others! I was also ecstatic when I discovered that I could help others make it through their difficult times like I had! I found myself thinking about how much smoother the path to my sense of fulfillment would have been, had I had the emotional support of a Life Coach or a NLP Practitioner years ago. I decided that this was how I would do my part to make the world a better place for us all.
My struggles have taught me how to really appreciate everything in life. I personally know how difficult it is getting to where you want to be, and I do not merely pile on self-help textbook quotes – I really know what it’s like as I have lived it, and this has made me all the more empathetic and intuitive as a Life Coach and NLP Practitioner. I’ve made it through the tough times, and I’m here to help my clients do the same. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, confidential environment where everyone is treated as the unique and special individual that they are. I help people discover their own individual powerful strengths and to use them to change their own lives for the better.
